Events for March 2024

Finding an afterschool program, day care, or a recreational program that understands and serves children and families with special needs can be a challenge. That is why Autism Pensacola is a long-time partner and supporter of the National Inclusion Project’s Let’s All Play (LAP) program.

For the seventh year, API will host Aron Hall, director of programs for Let’s All Play, to train organizations on the principles of inclusion. This FREE event is set for October 26, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Marcus Pointe Baptist Church. The daylong training is open to the public – targeting summer programs, day cares, afterschool programs, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, sports programs, etc.

To register for this event, please visit http://bit.ly/APInclusion.

The one-day training will cover topics such as “Inclusion – The Right Thing to Do,” “Setting the Right Atmosphere for Inclusion Success,” “Making Connections – Fostering Meaningful Relationships between Children,” “No Child Left on the Sidelines – Keeping Children Engaged.”

Past attendees include the YMCA of Northwest Florida, Martial Arts America, Pensacola Little Theatre, and Santa Rosa 4-H, among others. Lunch will be provided, but registration must be received by Oct. 22.
