Events for April 2024

2018’s summer Creative Camp at the Pensacola Museum of Art is designed specifically for children on the autism spectrum and other related abilities.
Interact with works of art in the galleries, engage in a variety of hands – on activities, and explore the creative process of art in the Art Studio. Creative Camp is designed specifically for children on the autism spectrum and other related abilities. Each day campers explore different art and artists from Piet Mondrian, Duane Hanson, Georgia O’Keefe and more through art-making and sensory experiences.

Dates: June 18 – June 22, 2018

Ages 5 to 9 years; 9 a.m. to noon each day

Ages 10 to 15 years; 1 to 4 p.m.

Tuition: $100.00 (for the week)

Creative Camp is led by Elizabeth Thornburgh.

Art Academy kicks off new session in January

The Pensacola Museum of Art's Art Academy for Autism is an arts education initiative designed for children and adults on the spectrum. The program focuses on nurturing artistic development and abstract thinking skills within a group environment. This is a free program and has limited availability. At the end of the semester, classes have an art exhibition for parents and friends.
