The Pensacola Civitan Club will host a Workshop titled “Innovative Imaging” on Saturday, September 8, 2018. The event will take place at the Hilton Garden Inn on Airport Blvd. from 3-5 pm.

Established in 1989, the UAB Civitan International Research Center has strived to empower families and children with or at-risk for developmental disabilities. The Center has forged a legacy of world-class research focusing on the wonders of the human brain and its role in health and disease across the lifespan.

The guest speaker will be Dr. Mark Bolding, Director of the Civitan International Neuroimaging Laboratory in Birmingham, Ala. Civitan International is excited to showcase their Research Center and the services and research it provides, related to Autism, Dementia, Alzheimer’s, Cerebral Palsy, Parkinson’s, Schizophrenia, Macular Degeneration, Spinal Cord Injury, Glioma, ALS, and injuries and rare disorders of the brain.

Autism Pensacola's Kids for Camp is opening its doors to area educators for a morning tour of the flagship program June 25. Teri Szafran, Escambia County School District ESE Director, and Debbie Keremes, Autism Pensacola board member and Training Director for Kids for Camp, are hosting this opportunity for teachers, paraprofessionals, therapists, and college students pursuing degrees in educational fields.
