Events for December 2024

Autism Pensacola, in conjunction with Pensacola Symphony Orchestra, is bringing a unique program to our community that enables music creativity through an easily accessible software called Musiquest. Musiquest can be virtually used anywhere at any time. The application gives children the capacity and the tools to create their own music through interactive lessons and self-application.

There is a strong body of evidence that music is an effective, non-verbal pathway to personal expression and emotional release for people with Autism-Spectrum-Disorder, Down Syndrome, and Cerebral Palsy. The music application has many benefits from music therapy, self-expression, guided lessons, and socio-emotional learning. And not only is the application easily accessible but it also affordable for families.

Autism Pensacola will be conducting a pilot program in which participants will be able to use Musiquest free of charge. The program will start in February and run through May, Autism Pensacola is looking for participants who are willing to use the program at least once a week. For more information on taking part in the pilot program please contact Jenny Perez at info@autismpensacola.org or (239) 227-6699.
